The WSBC family takes membership seriously, and we believe you and other believers should as well. It is our desire to be a body of believers who demonstrate Paul’s desire for the Roman believers in Romans 15:5-6 “May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” If you are thinking about becoming a member of WSBC, please follow the process outlined below.
- Pick up a copy of the Membership Class Material at the Welcome Center or contact the church office and request a copy.
- Study through the Membership Class Material at your own pace. In the study material, you will learn what we, as members of WSBC, believe and why, you will learn about our Statement of Faith and how we govern ourselves (a copy of our Constitution and Bylaws is included), and you will have a copy of our church covenant. If you have questions, talk to one of our elders.
- Pick up a WSBC Membership Application from the Welcome Center or request one from the church office.
- Your WSBC Membership Application will be reviewed by the Elders and a follow-up interview will be scheduled. The purpose of the interview is for you to meet some of the Elders and to give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
- The last step is presenting you to the congregation for a vote as new members.
